Michael Burke, DO is a trauma-informed psychiatrist specializing in psychedelic therapy. His work with many patients who did not benefit from conventional treatments combined with his appreciation for the healing potential of facilitated therapies inspired him to begin working with psychedelics in research and clinical settings. He worked for two years at California Center for Psychedelic Therapy offering Ketamine Assisted Therapy, during which time he co-authored a ketamine protocol. He also worked as a therapist and site physician on Phase 3 clinical trials of MDMA Assisted Therapy for PTSD in Los Angeles. In late 2022, he moved from Los Angeles to his hometown of Sioux City, IA where he opened Inner Path Psychiatry, the area’s first psychedelic therapy clinic.

Dr. Burke is board certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. He completed his residency at UCLA – San Fernando Valley, an addiction fellowship at UCLA – Semel Institute for Neuroscience, and a fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry at Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
